Ajla Čustović was born in 1986 in Sarajevo. She finished primary school in Libya and high school in Zagreb. She enrolled in the graduate study of journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb (2005), and completed it in 2010, and then enrolled in the university postgraduate study of Foreign Policy and Diplomacy at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, which she completed in 2012 and obtained the title of university specialist in foreign policy and diplomacy. During her studies, she attended numerous seminars, participated and presented at a number of international scientific and professional gatherings and congresses. Postgraduate doctoral studies (Political Theory major) started in 2012 and will end in 2020. In 2021, he enrolls in a one-year study program at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, which ends in 2022. He speaks Arabic and English fluently. In the book "Islam and human rights", the author showed the multiplicity of Islamic thought, which cannot be understood simply, in black and white, on any topic, including the sensitive topic of human rights. It opens an insight into the existence of lively polemics within Islam itself, illuminates some differences in the interpretations of Islamic holy texts, and presents Islamic thought on the topic of human rights to the reader with an emphasis on its richness and internal tensions, rather than on controversy.
