The book: Kings and Presidents: Saudi-American Diplomacy and the Salvation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by Mirnes Kovač explores the process of foreign policy formation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the influence this had on the foreign policy engagement of the United States.
It is a highly relevant, content-rich, and academically grounded work that, in an interdisciplinary manner, intertwines historical, political science, and international relations perspectives within the context of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the early 1990s. With this study, the author delves deeply into an aspect of foreign policy history that has so far been insufficiently explored in academic literature, while at the same time addressing a crucial period for understanding Bosnia and Herzegovina’s international positioning and the dynamics between the great powers and the Arab world.
