This paper explores the ways in which Besim Korkut translated āyāt aṣ-ṣifāt (verses about God's attributes) in his translation of the Qur'an into Bosnian, which was first published in 1977 by the Oriental Institute in Sarajevo.

The author first discusses in detail the syntagm āyāt aṣ-ṣifāt, defines it and places it in the context of a certain tafsīr, commentary classical discipline, and then, on a sufficient number of samples, presents and demonstrates Korkut's translation solutions āyāt aṣ-ṣifāt, which he compares with the works of 'ulūm al-Qur'ān (the science of the Qur'an) and the well-known and recognized classical and modern commentaries on the Qur'an (tafāsīr al-Qur'ān).

Key words: Besim Korkut, āyāt aṣ-ṣifāt, translation of the Qur'an, Bosnian language, mutashābih āyāt, ʻulūm al-Qur'ān.
